Active Practice. Unmatched Perspective.
You won’t find Sophie reciting theory from a textbook. She is in the dynamic core of the work every week—advising executives and leaders as they solve complex problems in real-time. She channels that live experience directly into every mentoring session, guaranteeing guidance that is current, field-tested, and built for immediate impact.

Why Sophie Does This Work
Before building her independent practice, Sophie spent years working in people and culture roles inside organizations, supporting leadership development, employee engagement, and organizational health.
That background gave her something most coaches do not carry into the room: a grounded, data-informed understanding of how people actually function inside complex systems. She has sat inside the organizations that create the pressures her clients bring to coaching. That context changes the conversation.
Sophie holds a Master of Arts in Cognitive Sociology from the University of Calgary and completed her coach training through the Newfield Network's Ontological Coach Training program. Those two threads, the academic study of how people construct identity and meaning, and the practice of ontological coaching, shape how she approaches leadership development. This is not about fixing behaviour at the surface. It is about shifting how a person sees themselves and their role, which changes everything downstream.

In 2021, Sophie moved from internal to independent practice and built Queen Bee Coaching into a full direct-to-client business. She now works with senior leaders, executives, organizations, and aspiring coaches across Canada. She lives in Calgary with her twin boys, who keep her humble, grateful, and very rarely bored.
